Ms. S. Elizabeth Clay is an internationally recognized expert on integral health policy. As a partner in service with Dr. Wisneski, Ms. Clay is dedicated to creating and sustaining a strong and vibrant organization that will be an agent of change for humanity.
Ms. Clay founded BC&A International, LLC, an international and government relations consulting firm based in Olney, Maryland. Under her leadership, BC&A developed a track record of assisting corporate and non-profit clients achieve their legislative and development goals. For example, she assisted non-profit clients in garnering more than $15 million through Congressional appropriations for research and treatment programs, as well as garnering increased research dollars within existing agency programs.
Ms. Clay’s career includes a dozen years of public service. As a Senior Professional Staff member in the United States Congress, she worked with the Chairman and members of the Committee on Government Reform and subsequently the Subcommittee on Human Rights and Wellness on a series of health policy issues including the role of complementary and alternative medicine in the U.S. health system. Over almost five years of Congressional service, Ms. Clay oversaw more than 25 hearings, coordinated the passage of legislation that allowed for the first ever prevention treatment program in Medicare, and helped increase five fold funding for autism spectrum disorders research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to her service to the Congress, Ms. Clay served seven years at the NIH, where she worked in international activities, alternative medicine, committee management, and rare diseases.
Ms. Clay is a former member of the US Delegation to the CODEX Alimentarious Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses and the National Autism Association Board. She served on the Government Relations Board of the Autism Society of America and in 2003-4 served as the national spokesperson for Project FANS (Freedom of Access to Nutritional Supplements). Working with Grammy-nominated composer performer, Jonn Serrie, Ms Clay served as Executive Producer for Sunday Morning, a therapeutic (relaxation) CD specifically produced to raise research funds for the autism community.
Ms. Clay is a Certified Hospice Volunteer, and a Level III Reiki Master. In 2006, Ms. Clay hosted The Capitol Weather Report, on Autism One Radio. Ms. Clay is frequently called upon for media interviews and has appeared on dozens of radio and television shows including Fox News, CNNfn, The Deborah Ray Show, and Sinclair Broadcasting. She is published in Passing Thoughts, Exceptional Parent, and Natural Products Industry Insider. Ms. Clay has been an invited speaker to dozens of conferences and professional meetings.
