The Wisneski Institute has been established to further implement the inspired vision of Dr. Leonard A. Wisneski regarding healing and wellness for individuals, organizations and communities. The Institute will lead and participate in policy development and task-oriented projects focused in the areas of health and well-being, social and community needs, and technological innovations in education.

Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Leonard A. Wisneski has served as a beacon and trail blazer on the frontiers of research, education, and clinical care. He has embodied the true meaning of the title ‘physician-healer’ and, for more than 30 years, provided clinical care that fully integrated conventional, complementary and alternative care with compassion, reverence, and humanism. Recognizing the urgent global need for more physicians, Dr. Wisneski has taken on the challenge of directing an international medical school, an activity that has contributed to the recent announcement of his retirement from his Maryland practice in March.
